Mini Break

I just got back from a mini staycation at the beautiful Disney Aulani Resort. For two whole days, I did nothing but relax, swim, and sleep. It was wonderful. I took my computer in hopes of doing some writing but by the time I would get back to the hotel room, all I wanted to do was sleep.

I may not have been able to get any writing in, but I did get to take a Night Photography Class put on by the hotel. I’ve always wanted to do night photography but just haven’t had chance. We had a wonderful instructor who took us around the grounds and helped us take some beautiful images. He not only taught me to take long exposures and painting with light, but he also opened my eyes to see things differently, and just how changing the camera from landscape to portrait can create a much more appealing photograph. If you ever stay at Disney’s Aulani Resort, I highly recommend taking time out to take this class. It was fun and the instructor was very patient and helpful.

Here are some of the pictures I took during the class:

With my mini vacation over, it’s back to work. I’m happy to report that I’ve gotten down 25,000+ words in the past few weeks. I’m up to 80,000+ words in my story, more than I have ever done before and I’m still going. I’ve got three more weeks till GOT season 7 is out on iTunes, so my goal is to finish by then.
