I finally did it, I developed my first roll of black and white film. And amazingly, most of the pictures came out pretty good even though I left the film in the developer for a minute longer then I was supposed to. It was a completely nerve wrecking experience for me since I had never done anything like this before. I think I watched at least 20 hours of YouTube videos to figure out what I was doing. I quickly learned that watching and doing are two totally different things. But, it was an extremely fun experience and one I totally recommend to anyone who may be interested. Here are some of the pictures that came out:
These were just shot around the house since I didn’t want to lose any important pictures in case I completely failed. I think I’ll practice a couple more times before I try to develop anything important.
And because I’m trying to get back in the writing mode, I uploaded a few more chapters of Shattered. With the nice long Christmas holiday coming up, I’m hoping to get more writing in and hopefully some reviewing as well before the madness of the new year begins.
