Summer has officially arrived. Which for me means hot and humid days and sweltering nights. But it also means longer days, so I actually have a chance to go out and take some pictures after work. After a very busy and stressful May, just being able to go out for a walk after work and take some pictures is a nice way for me destress.
I even got to play around with my 50 mm macro and got some really nice shots of the flowers around town.
While cleaning up around the house, I found the digital Holga that I picked up in Japan last year. I didn’t play around with it too much when I first got it, but now it’s one of my favorite toys. It small, light and easy to whip out and take a few quick pictures. It also conveniently runs on two AA-batteries so if you run out of juice while your on the go, all you have to do is stop in at your closest convenience store and grab a couple more. I took it to out to the beach this weekend and got in a few good shots.
Since it’s been a nice couple of relaxing weeks and I’ve had more free time, I’m back at the computer picking up where I left off. I basically gave up on trying to finish the story that I started for NaNoWriMo 2017 and decided to start the story again, brand new. There were things I added in the beginning of the original story that I no longer saw necessary, but to remove them I would have to go back to the start. So I decided that’s what I was going to do. So far, I written about 6,000 words in the past week, and I’m hoping to keep on that track so I’ll be able to finish by November. So that’s my new goal for the next four months, write, write, write and write. Hopefully I’ll be able to post something from last year’s NaNoWriMo before it starts again this year. Also I posted a couple more chapters of Shattered for those who are interested.
